What’s the difference between a residential care home and assisted living?

Residential care homes and assisted living facilities can sometimes look very similar, especially when an assisted living facility operates out of a house in a residential neighborhood. The key difference is not the appearance of the building but its licensing status and how it is regulated. In Texas, a home serving more than three residents […]

Are residential care homes licensed in Texas?

Residential care homes serving three or fewer residents are generally not licensed by the State of Texas as assisted living facilities. Do you only recommend communities that pay referral fees?

No. Our responsibility is to help families understand the senior living landscape and identify communities that best meet their loved one’s needs. We believe every family deserves honest guidance and transparent information so they can make the decision that feels right for their situation.

How long does the senior living placement process usually take?

Every family’s situation is different. Some seniors need to move quickly following a hospitalization or health event, while others spend weeks or months exploring options before making a decision. We work at your pace and help coordinate each step of the process, from narrowing the search to scheduling tours and preparing for move in.

How is your senior living placement service free?

Families never pay us for guidance or assistance during the placement process. Once a loved one moves into a participating senior living community, that community compensates us for helping facilitate the placement. Our goal is always to help families find the right fit based on care needs, preferences, and budget.
